About Us

We both liked to travel, explore new cultures and learn new languages. 

Mario, a native of Sardinia, was passionate about taking tourists to discover the pearls of the Archipelago of La Maddalena on his old boat Kaoah. And then one day Cindy came aboard.

Her passions have always been travelling, closely followed by the sea. And now we also benefit her management and organisational talents!

We hit it off immediately, and after five years together between Switzerland, Mexico and Sardinia we decided to start their own business.

That's how SAILING STAR was born, two sailing lovers and a great desire to share feelings and knowledge.

While travelling we’ve learnt to speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German, in addition to our mother tongues Italian (Mario) and Swiss German (Cindy).

We live in Sardinia from April to October, our next step will be taking our baby (Rosa Velata) to the Caribbean in the winter months. To discover new and beautiful places. But always the best view is from the sea!
